After a wonderful evening in 2016 at the Literature for Life Festival in St. Clementin, Holy Moly will be playing on Saturday 30th June at the Voulmentin Festival in St Clementin.
Described as gypsy folk & roll, Holy Moly and the Crackers are one of the hardest working bands on the circuit with a growing and loyal fan base. Over the past two years they have toured the UK extensively, and made impressive debuts in France, Germany and Holland. Their festival appearances include Glastonbury, Cornbury, Secret Garden Party, Boomtown Fair, Wilderness, Larmer Tree, Kendal Calling, Underneath The Stars, Belladrum, Just So, Wickham, Towersey and many more.
They are making an impact on both the national and international tour circuits;
They have played well over 200 shows throughout the UK, including sell out concerts in London, the Midlands, Yorkshire, Newcastle and Edinburgh.
Woody Guthrie, the gypsy bone-cage burlesque of Gogol Bordello: punk, ska, reggae, folk, blues, honky-tonk, Balkan, they play a unique mash-up of folk / blues, waltz tempos and hoe-downs and French zazou in outlandish carnival style. It is loud, funky and fun.

Andy is a successful international songwriter, having written for The Karrots, & The Storys. He performs solo and has recently produced his own recording, Right Here Right Now.
He has recently married singer song writer Rhianedd.

Joel is an accomplished and versatile musician. He also sings and writes some of his own songs.
Sarah describes herself as folk/alternative. She lives and works in Swansea and has taken time out to join us in Voulmentin. Accordian players are not uncommon hereabouts and she may find what she is looking for to complete her duo.
Damian is the drummer with World vs World - one of South Wales hardest working and hardest rocking bands. Signed to Death Monkey Records they have released several critically acclaimed singles and albums, including The Sentinel Paradox.

John is a regular in St Clementin. His ever popular village walks, with appropriate poems are a perfect way to explore this charming village. His work has been translated into French and a feature this year will be a tour with the older children from the local school. He will also be launching his recently published book.
Victoria Simmonds, singer and song writer, will be joining us and the jolly troubadors to entertain with her unique style.
Colm Scully is a poet from Cork, Ireland. His first collection, What News, Centurions?,
was published by New Binary Press in 2014. He has won the Cúirt New Writers Prize and been selected for Poetry Ireland’s Introductions Series. His poems have been published in many journals and
in anthologies such as the The Deep Heart’s Core (Dedalus, 2017). He makes and collaborates on Poetry Films, some of which have been shortlisted in the Rabbit Heart Poetry Film
Festival in Massachusetts and the Ó Bhéal Poetry Film Festival.
Ciarán MacArtain is a poet, producer and theatre artist from Glasheen, Cork City. He has performed poetry nationally and internationally since 2011, including recent gigs in L'Escalier in Montreal, QC, where he performed bi-lingually, and in New York City. He has performed extensively with The Choke Collective since 2015. A poetry film of his poem “Can’t Think Twice” was made with media artist Thomas Spencer in 2017. Poet Stanley Notte and Ciarán recently represented Cork in Coventry for Ó Bhéal’s 2017 Twin Cities poetry exchange. A chapbook Spoken Worlds: Sound as Character was published for the occasion.
Cork native Shaunna Lee Lynch has a Level 8 BA Honours degree in Drama from Ireland's Conservatory of Music and Drama (DIT). She has acted in, written, developed & directed many film and theatre projects around Ireland and abroad. She regularly performs poetry at Cork's Ó Bhéal open mic and has been featured at events such as Shannonside Music Festival, Rebel Artists for a Rebel City and the Galway Cúirt festival. Her work primarily explores modern feminism and comedy with a socio-political consciousness.
Michelle Delea is an artist and poet from Cork city, Ireland. She recently performed her work at Shannonside Festival and is a regular contributor to Ó Bhéal and The Garden Collective. Michelle writes in praise of the banal while her architectural background tempts the creation of ethereal place. While We Are Here is her first in a series of handmade chapbooks which toys with the illustration of poetry.
Benjamin Burns is a poet, musician, and preschool teacher from County Sligo, Ireland. He now lives in Cork City. He was runner up in the Munster Poetry Slam 2016, and joint-winner of the All Ireland Poetry Slam 2016. He went on to represent Ireland at the 2017 European Poetry Slam in Brussels. Benjamin's poetry is influenced by the Daoist philosopher Zhuangzi.
Paul Casey has published poems in journals and anthologies in Ireland and around the world, in five of his six spoken languages. His most recent collection is Virtual Tides (Salmon Poetry, 2016). This follows home more or less (Salmon, 2012) and a chapbook, It's Not all Bad (Heaventree Press, 2009). He made a poetry-film of Ian Duhig’s poem The Lammas Hireling (on vimeo), edits the annual Unfinished Book of Poetry for secondary school students and promotes poetry in his role as director of Ó Bhéal in Cork - www.obheal.ie
There will be the opportunity to see some of the winners of the Ó Bhéal poetry-film compettion on Thursday evening at 7:00 pm at the Argenton les Valles cinema. During his time in St Clementin, we will have a workshop on film poetry.
Susan Andrade was born in Funchal, Madeira. She started at an early age and by the time she was 11, appeared regularly to entertain. She then discovered Fado and it changed her so that she became the unique performer she is now. With several CDs to her name, solo or with other similar singers, she now tours regularly. It is not a coincidence that the style of Fado is often described as poetry to music.
